N16 Design to launch at Interiors 2010
London, Thursday 21st January, 2010. London-based furniture design and manufacturing company, N16 Design, officially launches its portfolio of products at Interiors 2010 held at the NEC, Birmingham from 24-27 January.
Interiors editors and designers who’ve had a sneak preview have described N16 Design’s designs as ‘stylish and contemporary’, ‘sculptured and biomorphic’ and ‘iconic’, though even we say that last one will take time.
N16 Design uses a unique manufacturing process involving vacuum-technology and sculpted wooden moulds to make external casings in ABS plastics. The casings are then given further form, substance and strength with a polyurethane filling.
The process allows N16 Design to be more flexible in the use of curves in design and to build products that are affordable yet have the durability of more expensive fibreglass alternatives.

About N16 Design
N16 Design was launched at the end of 2007 to combine innovation in manufacturing as well as product design. Since launch, the company has developed a new method for producing contemporary furniture combining vacuum-formed components with polyurethane filled cavities. The process provides significant benefits over traditional production in terms of cost and flexibility. The unique method allows N16 Design to produce well-built and stylish furniture at prices within reach of most. Retailers are attracted to the company’s ability to deliver ‘just-in-time’ and thereby reduce their need to hold stock.
